Alex Schnaidt - Assistant Director of PSB Denver
Alex Schnaidt grew up in Southeast Aurora, Colorado and was a 2003 graduate of Grandview High School. He was a 3 year letterman in basketball and a 2 year letterman in soccer. Alex was the starting point guard on Grandview’s first Final Four team in 2003.
Alex had opportunities to play both soccer and basketball in college. Ultimately he accepted a scholarship to play basketball at Western State University in Gunnison, Colorado. After two years, Alex decided to return to Denver where he finished college at Metro State University while majoring in Math and Physical Education.
When back in Denver, Alex began his coaching career at Grandview High School under longtime high school coach, Gary Childress. Alex spent 3 years as a Varsity Assistant before taking over the Freshman team for 5 seasons. In his final year at Grandview he served as the Head Varsity Assistant coach. Alex then went to accept the same position at Smoky Hill High School. He spent one season there before switching over to Regis Jesuit High School where he served as the Head JV coach for one season under legendary coach, Ken Shaw. Currently, Alex serves as the Head Varsity Assistant coach for Cherry Creek High School.
In addition to his time coaching high school basketball, Alex has spent over 8 years working with young players on skill and shooting development. He has worked with players of all levels from beginners all the way through players that currently play Division 1 college basketball. He has a passion for coaching the game of basketball and it shows in his easy ability to connect with kids and teach them the finer points of the game.
Alex began working with Pro Skills Basketball in the spring of 2016. He has served as a PSB Select Coach and a Skills Trainer.
