Pro Skills Basketball Alumni: Joe Hartman of Haverford College

Joe Hartman is a former Davidson Day School (Davidson, NC) player and current member of the Haverford College men’s basketball team, a DIII team in Philadelphia, PA.

Joe just finished up his sophomore campaign where he finished 3rd on the team in made 3-pointers on an average of about 19 minutes per game.

Some other stats and facts about Joe include:

2017-18: One of five players to appear in all 25 games, making five starts … Ranked third on the team in three-pointers made (33), steals (21), and blocked shots (10) … Averaged 5.6 points in 18.8 minutes per game … Had two 10-plus point games, scoring a season-high 18 at Ursinus with a season-best four three-pointers (11/21) … Knocked down a three-pointer in 19 different games, including 10 straight games at one point during the season … Pulled down five or more rebounds on five occasions … Dished out multiple assists during seven games, including a season-high four helpers against Elizabethtown (11/28).

2016-17: Appeared in 24 games, starting three during the last two weeks of the season … Averaged 27.0 minutes and seven points per game in his starts, averaging 15.7 minutes and 4.7 points per game overall … Was second on the team in three-point shooting percentage (.357) and fourth with 30 assists … Totaled 47 rebounds, 17 steals, and three blocks … Had five or more points in 11 different games, including a season-high 16 points in the home victory against Washington College (2/1) … Also scored 10 points at Ursinus (1/26).

High School: Lettered four times in basketball and once in football (receiver), while also playing the outfield in baseball … Helped his team to 2015 state championship in football … National Honor Society member.

Pro Skills Basketball Alumni: Kishawn Pritchett of Davidson College

Kishawn Pritchett is January’s Alumni Spotlight player.

Kishawn played high school basketball at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, NC and is now a starter in his sophomore season for the Davidson Wildcats.

His solid play this season was recently written up in Lake Norman’s Herald Weekly in an article entitled “Davidson’s Pritchett excelling close to home” by Justin Parker.

PSB alum Ryan Schwieger is this month’s alumni spotlight pick.

Ryan played high school ball at Weddington, a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina and then moved on to Princeton where he is a freshman this year (2017-18).

So far this season, Ryan is averaging about 15 minutes per game for the Tigers, and you can follow his progress and stats here.

This month the spotlight is on jet-quick point guard, PSB club team alum, Kenny Hairston. Kenny played high school basketball at Davidson Day School in Davidson, North Carolina and currently plays division II college basketball at Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina.

A little more information on Kenny:

2016-17: Appeared in all 33 games … shot 44.3 percent from the field (86-of-194) … shot 63.5 percent from the free-throw line (47-of-74) … recorded 55 rebounds, 34 assists, seven blocks, 20 steals and 277 points.

2015-16: Played in 17 games with one start … shot 27.7 percent from the field (23-of-83) … shot 27.0 percent  from behind the arc (20-of-74) … had a 57.1 free-throw percentage (four-of-seven) … grabbed 24 total rebounds (three offensive and 21 defensive) … recorded 18 assists, one block and six steals.

Davidson Day HS: Averaged 19.3 points as a senior and 21 points per game as a junior … dished out 3.8 assists per game during senior year … reached the career 1,000-point mark … named team MVP … earned MVP honors in the Lake Norman Charter Jimmy V All-Star Classic … two-time all-state selection.
