What is Pro Skills Basketball (PSB)?

We are a youth basketball organization headquartered in Charlotte, NC. We specialize in skill development and youth coaching. Please go to our About page for more information.

What is the mission of PSB?

Our mission is to empower young athletes through a culture defined by the tenacious pursuit of self-improvement and the genuine desire to motivate players and improve kids’ lives.

What is PSB about?

We believe that basketball, like every youth sport, should be used as a vehicle to teach young people life skills like dedication, team work and overcoming adversity. We also believe that basketball is a great tool to keep kids active and physically healthy.

Who are PSB Directors and Coaches?

All PSB Directors are former or current high level coaches and/or players. Coaches are hand picked by PSB Directors based on very specific criteria. Directors and coaches must pass background checks and must abide by strict PSB standards. We recognize the importance of who teaches our children and that it’s not something to be taken lightly.

What do kids do at training?

We offer 3 different types of training – Private, Small Group, and larger Group Training. Private Training is 1-2 kids and is our most personalized instruction. Small group is 3-6 kids and is also very personalized. Group Training is 7-15 kids and is a bit less personalized, but still allows for individual basketball instruction.

What do kids do at clinics?

Clinics are shorter (2 or 3 hours) one-day skill sessions.  Clinics normally focus on a particular skill or fundamental and go in-depth with the teaching of that skill.  Clinics include drills and competitions and no live action playing takes place.

What do kids do at camps?

Camps are 3-6 hours per day and include warm-ups, station/drill work, games (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5) and individual competitions.

What's the deal with your teams?

Our PSB Select teams take our focus on skill development combined with life lessons and puts them into a competitive team environment for kids of intermediate to advanced skill level.
