Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) is a youth basketball organization with club teams, camps, clinics and academies in cities across the U.S. PSB was founded in 2009 by Brendan Winters and Logan Kosmalski, former Davidson College teammates and pro players. We focus on player development, trained coaches and organized communication with families.

F.O.C.U.S. is our set of core values: Fun, Overcome, Compete, Unity and Self-Improvement. Coaches teach these values in every practice and game.

Yes. The Jr. NBA named PSB one of its flagship youth basketball organizations. PSB is also a USA Basketball Official Youth Organization.

PSB runs programs in more than 25 cities. See the Locations page for your city. We rent local schools, recreation centers and community gyms, so we do not have one facility.

PSB has boys and girls teams from grade 1 to grade 11, depending on the city. Camps, clinics and academies list their own grade ranges.

Tryouts are held in February and March and are posted by December 1. Most divisions have two sessions. See your city’s Teams page for dates.

Tryout fees are set by each city and are listed when you register. Most are about $40.

Coaches evaluate players in drills and scrimmages. Teams are formed by gender, grade, location and skill level, with up to 10 players per team.

Results arrive by email 3 to 5 business days after the last session. Check your spam folder. A player offered a spot has 24 hours to accept.

Some players are offered a practice player spot at half price. Others can join the Skill Development Membership for clinics and camps, and they are first in line if a team spot opens.

In spring and summer, teams practice twice a week for 1 to 1.5 hours each, on the same weeknights at the same gym. Fall and winter bring team practices or optional skill workouts, depending on the age group.

Teams play in local tournaments or leagues, usually Friday evening through Sunday. Elementary and middle school teams mostly play close to home. High school teams travel when it helps with competition or college recruiting.

Every player gets a chance to play in games. Coaches decide minutes based on effort, practice and what gives the team the best chance to compete. Playing time is earned.

In most cities, yes. Team members can attend clinics and camps in their city as part of their membership. Ask your city director what your city includes.

Yes. High school team members get a SportsRecruits profile, and some high school teams play showcase events that college coaches attend. Our blog has free guides on the recruiting process.

Prices vary by city and grade and are shown on your city’s Teams page and at registration. The season price covers practices, games, coaching and, in most cities, clinics and camps. The gear package, tournament admission and travel are extra.

Yes. You can pay the season in monthly auto-payments, or pay in full and save 3%. Either way, you owe the full season.

Yes. Each additional player in a family gets 10% off. Email admin@proskillsbasketball.com for the code.

Club team memberships are not refundable, but a long injury can pause payments. For camps, clinics, academies and tryouts, cancel more than 7 days before the start for a refund less $20. Inside 7 days you get an account credit. See the Policies page for details.

If a club team player will miss 4 weeks or more, send a doctor’s note and we will pause future payments until they return.

A clinic is a single 1 to 3 hour session on one skill, such as shooting, ball handling or finishing.

A camp runs several days, 3 to 6 hours a day, with warm-ups, skill stations, games and competitions.

An academy is a skill program that meets weekly for several weeks, so players build skills step by step.

Athletic clothes, basketball shoes and a water bottle. Arrive a few minutes early to check in.

PSB coaches are former or current high-level players and coaches. Each one is interviewed, background checked, CPR certified and trained through PSB coaching courses. City directors oversee every coach.

Staff are never alone with a player in a non-public setting, and PSB follows a written child protection policy and concussion plan. Every player must have their own medical insurance.

PSB sends schedules and updates by email and text. Each team also has a handbook that sets expectations up front.
