Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Antonio (aka. Tony) moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1997 where he attended Germantown High School and graduated in 2005.
After high school Antonio started his collegiate basketball career at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina. After two years, Antonio transferred to the City College of New York for one season before finishing his collegiate career at St Josephs Vermont where Antonio was a stand out student athlete.
During Antonio’s time at college, he majored in business management. From the knowledge he gained, Antonio decided to pursue an overseas career by marketing himself to clubs in Europe.
After playing semi-professional in the US & Canada, Antonio began his international career in 2013 when he decided to go play in England.
During Antonio’s 2 years in England, he also gained his level 2 coaching certificate and wheelchair basketball certificate. With this, he helped develop basketball in the local community. Also during this time in England, Antonio helped his team gain promotion.
Next up, Antonio played two seasons in Italy. While there, he won a championship with Olimpia Mosciano in his first year, which then led to him signing with Favl Viterbo for his second season.
During this time, the club requested that Antonio help assist with the youth programs, where he was in charge of running numerous coaching & player development sessions.
Antonio currently still plays in England, while also pursuing his passion for coaching through Pro Skills Basketball England.
Antonio returned to the UK in 2017 to reside with his wife.
