Rasheed graduated in 1999 from Southern Guildford High School in Greensboro, NC. His senior year, Rasheed was named Guilford County Player of the Year and is still Southern Guilford’s all-time leading scorer. He was two-time Conference Player-of-the-Year, two-time All-County, and two-time Area Player-of-the-Year. 


Following high school, Rasheed enrolled at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia on a full athletic scholarship. After playing in 30 games as a freshman, Rasheed became a team captain as a senior, scored over 1,000 career points and was voted CAA All-Defensive Team in 2003. 

In 2003, Rasheed graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Upon graduation, he attended the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. 


After graduating Rasheed began his professional playing career in France. Slowly working his way up in professional divisions, Rasheed played with 7 different clubs in a 13-year professional career in France. His amazing career included a championship season, MVP recognition and multiple all-league honors.

After 13-years, Rasheed, now speaking French fluently, returned to his wife’s hometown of Richmond where he began working with young players in the camp, training, and team settings.


Rasheed and his wife Rebecca have four girls and currently reside in Midlothian, VA.
