1. Davidson’s Bob Mckillop Basketball Camp
Coached by the legendary Bob Mckillop – head coach of the Davidson men’s basketball team – this basketball camp runs in June and July and will introduce players to the fundamentals of the game, and taking their skills to the next level.
Here’s an interesting trivia for you, 53 of Coach Mckillop’s players have gone on to play professional basketball, one of which is Stephen Curry, who was the NBA’s MVP for two seasons in a row.
2. Jay Bilas Skills Basketball Camp
To be held at the Queen’s University campus, the camp runs for two days, where players will stay overnight in one of the school’s dorms, complete with meals and gear.
The camp will be directed by experienced college coaches and Jay Bilas himself, with Under Armour sponsoring the camp’s gear.
At $550, the camp will run from June 8th to 10th, and open to ages 14 to 18. Fundamental skills, toughness, and old school basketball skill development are the focus of the camp.
3. Pro Skills Basketball Summer Camp
PSB’s summer basketball camps will be held June through August, and open to both boys and girls ages 7 to 15.
Run by Charlotte’s premier youth basketball organization, the camp aims to empower young athletes and to improve their basketball skills.
Local pro player, Malik Monk, will also be holding 2 week-long camps in the summer.
4. Loren S. Hibbs Charlotte 49er Baseball Summer Camp
Open to both girls and boys, the camp will be held at UNC Charlotte’s baseball stadium.

5. Champions Sports Performance Back-to-Basics Football Summer Camp
Directed by legendary high school football coach, Greg Olsen, who was named by ESPN as one of the country’s best high school football coaches, the camps will be held on June 18-22, and July 9-13.
Among the things your kids will learn at the camp include catching, throwing, hitting, and speed and agility techniques used by actual NFL players.
6. FC Barcelona Summer Camps
FC Barcelona coaches will come to Charlotte for 2 weeks this summer to teach your kids the unique Barca style that’s beloved by soccer players all over the world.
Open to both girls and boys ages 11 to 17, the camps will be held in June and at the Matthews Sportsplex from 9am to 3pm.
The camp will also offer a special goalkeeping program, aside from its main focus of improving the technical and tactical skills of players.
7. Everton Summer Camps
Another soccer camp with coaches from a beloved European team, the Everton summer camps will be coached by actual Everton coaches, and will have two schedules, which are: June 11 to 15; and June 18 to 22.
There will be two age groups: 7 to 12; and 13-18. Both schedules are open to both girls and boys. At $250, the camps will be held at the Striker’s Soccer Center.
8. Team Carolina Summer Camps
If you want your kids to learn lacrosse this summer, then the Team Carolina summer camps is the place to be.
From June 11 to 14, the camp will be held at the Jack Hughes Park in Pineville, and open to both girls and boys from the levels of K2 to 8th grade.

10. YMCA Camp Thunderbird Summer Camp
The YMCA Thunderbird summer camp will have two options: a day camp and an overnight camp. Open for kids both girls and boys with ages 6 to 16, there are plenty of options for your kids in terms of the sports they want to experience and learn at the camp.
