Colorado Springs Basketball Academies

Colorado Springs, CO

Thank you for visiting the official website of Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) Colorado Springs, Colorado’s professional basketball club.

Our Academies are designed to maximize the improvement of players with a very intentional skill development curriculum that is spread out over the course of multiple weeks or months. Typically, we have two types of Academies: Shooting and Player Development. Our Shooting Academies focus solely on perfecting the art of shooting a basketball. Our Player Development Academies are focused on teaching general fundamentals with the intent of players improving enough to eventually make one of our Club Teams.

 Portrait of Jim Krager

Jim Krager, Director

Growing up between Gary, Indiana, and South Chicago, Jim Krager developed his passion for basketball on the blacktops and in the parks, where the game was more than just a sportโ€”it was a way of life. Though he stopped playing organized basketball after 8th grade, his love for the game only grew stronger through those competitive park battles.

Jim began his coaching journey in 2009, working with youth players and quickly discovering his passion for teaching and mentoring through basketball. In 2015, after meeting PSB Denver founder, Ross Schraeder, he began coaching with Pro Skills Basketball and has been a dedicated coach ever since. Over the years, he has coached PSB teams ranging from 5th grade through 17U, helping players develop both their skills and their character.

In 2024, Jim took the next step in his coaching career by joining the staff at Ponderosa High School as a varsity assistant coach. Now, as the Director of PSB Colorado Springs, Jim continues to create opportunities for young athletes to grow on and off the court, using the game of basketball as a tool to teach life lessons that last well beyond the final buzzer.
