Our DC Club basketball Teams are for intermediate to advanced level boys and girls in grades 3-11 in the Washington, DC area.

James has coached basketball in the DC area since the spring of 2015. From 2017-21, he coached with St. John’s College High School at the freshman, JV, and Varsity levels. He served as an assistant coach with Catholic University Men’s Basketball from 2021-22, and has returned to coach with St. John’s for the 2022-23 season. James lives in Silver Spring with his wife Nicole and his son Quinn.
Patrick O’Connor grew up in Richmond, Virginia where he attended Douglas Freeman High School. After graduating from Douglas Freeman, Patrick studied Business Administration and Education Policy while also playing Basketball at Washington and Lee University.

Payton began his coaching career at International at Largo HS in Prince George’s County, MD in 2017, where he helped bring the school their first win in school history. From there he moved on to St. John’s College High School where he was head coach at the Freshman and JV levels.
Payton played his high school basketball at St. Vincent Pallotti HS in Laurel, MD and went on to play one year of D3 basketball at Keystone College in La Plume, PA. Payton currently lives in Crofton, MD with his wife Ashley and two boys Pharaoh and Phoenix.
