Thank you for visiting the official website of Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) Long Island, New York’s professional basketball club.
Our Academies are designed to maximize the improvement of players with a very intentional skill development curriculum that is spread out over the course of multiple weeks or months. Typically, we have two types of Academies: Shooting and Player Development. Our Shooting Academies focus solely on perfecting the art of shooting a basketball. Our Player Development Academies are focused on teaching general fundamentals with the intent of players improving enough to eventually make one of our Club Teams.
NOTE: If no Academies are available, please check out one of our Camps, Clinics, or Club Teams to join the PSB family today!

Ben Martinez coached at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, for 10 seasons, helping the program reach the NCAA tournament three times, with two MAC Freedom Tournament championships and one at-large bid. He played a role in developing eight All-Conference selections, two Conference Players of the Year, and one All-American.
As a player at Montclair State University from 1999-2003, Ben served as team captain for two seasons, leading the program to a New Jersey Athletic Conference title and a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He earned First Team All-Sectional honors and is among the school’s all-time leaders in assists, steals, and three-point field goals.
In high school, Martinez earned All-Union County and All-Watchung Conference honors. He later coached at Scotch Plains Fanwood High School, guiding the team to its first state title in 2007-08 as an assistant and leading them to a state sectional final as head coach in 2008-09.
For the past 12 years, Martinez has been the General Manager at Hoop1, collaborating with major professional sports teams across the US and Canada, providing video services and archiving for all major leagues and franchises.
