  • ProSkills Basketball Portland, led by Director and Head Coach Will Boettcher, is more than a training program—it’s a community where kids learn the true spirit of sports. Will puts his heart into helping every player grow, teaching not just basketball skills but also teamwork, respect, and perseverance. PSB’s dedication shines through in the way it creates an environment where athletes can challenge themselves, support one another, and truly understand what it means to be part of a team. It’s a place where the lessons learned go far beyond the scoreboard.
    Esther G.
  • PSB is well organized. The practices are appropriately structured allowing the kids to grow confidence through skill development and team camaraderie. A great model for children’s sports.

  • Our experience with Pro Skills Basketball Portland has been outstanding. From day one, the communication was clear, the staff was professional, and the coaches genuinely cared about the kids’ development—not just as athletes, but as teammates and leaders. The practices are structured, intense, and focused on fundamentals, which was exactly what we were looking for. Coach Will takes time to encourage players to think the game, not just play it. The players are coached to be able to recognize missed opportunities and problem solve, empowering them with thoughtful decision making. We’ve seen real growth in both our sons’ confidence, skills, and basketball IQ.
    Brianne S.
  • Truly grateful for the opportunity this program has provided for our son to develop as a player. Coach Will Boettcher offers a great amount of experience coaching to develop players. We appreciate the dedication and communication he provides to all players and families. We appreciate his coaching style, he gives kids constant in time feedback and holds his players accountable which is crucial for 13 year old boys who always need constant feedback and support.

FAQs

Our Club Teams typically run 8–11 months depending on the city. Families can expect 2–3 practices or workouts per week and 2–3 weekends per month with games or tournaments. We believe in long-term development, not quick-hit seasons.

We support multi-sport athletes! Many of our players compete in soccer, football, baseball, and more. Just let us know your schedule, and we’ll work together to find the best fit — whether that’s a Club Team or placement in our Player Development Academy with more flexibility.

We offer flexible payment plans in every city. In some locations, limited scholarship or financial aid options may also be available. Reach out to us directly to learn more — we’re here to help.

Not every player is placed on a Club Team, but no one gets left behind. Through our Player Development Academy (PDA), athletes receive structured training, weekly practices, and internal game play — with the opportunity to be reevaluated for a Club Team during the year.

In most cities, we host open clinics, camps, or evaluation sessions prior to the start of the season. These are great opportunities to experience our coaching and culture firsthand. Reach out to your local director to see what’s available near you.
