We recently powered the first Paul Biancardi Basketball Camp of the fall season outside of Charlotte, NC in Concord on September 1-2 at Cox Mill High School.
Previously, we ran a Biancardi Camp last May in Charlotte that had a tremendous amount of talent.
This September 1-2 camp was another great event with over 70 boys players from 8th-12th grade and a staff made up of current college coaches and former college and pro players.
Coach Paul Biancardi, a former college coach of 20+ years at the DI, DII, and DIII levels and currently ESPN’s National Director of Boys High School Basketball, led the camp and had his hand and eyes in every drill, competition, and game.
While there were many good players at the Paul Biancardi Charlotte Basketball Camp, there was a handful that truly stood out.
Below are short write-ups from each of the camp standouts!
Paul Biancardi Basketball Camp Standouts
**alphabetical order by last name
Jayden Beloti (@jaydenbeloti3) | Class of 2020 | Apex Friendship HS | Apex, NC
Jayden is very long and athletic. He has a solid handle, really good in transition and finishes strong with both hands. Can do a little bit of everything. If he continues to improve he could be a special player.
Seth Bennett (@seth_bennett19) | Class of 2019 | Charlotte Christian School | Charlotte, NC
Knockdown 3 point shooter at the sg position. Seth didn’t need much room to get off his shot from range as he continuously lit up defenders from deep whether a hand was up or not. Showed the ability to make the extra pass when the defense over-rotated.
Paxton Broadway | Class of 2022 | Mallard Creek HS | Charlotte, NC
Young player with lots of upside. Fast with the ball in transition and finishes with both hands well around the rim. Strong at the hoop and can finish through contact.
Xavier Crawford | Class of 2023 | Ridge Road MS | Charlotte, NC
Good ball handler with a quick first step that allows him to easily get into the paint and to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. Showed good ability to score at the rim and from distance. One of the youngest players at camp more than held his own against older competition.
Rycki Harding (@rycki_harding) | Class of 2019 | Cox Mill HS | Concord, NC
Long, strong, athletic, and has a great motor. Very coachable and good feel for the game. Really good rebounder and finisher around the rim.
Chris Jordan (@n1baller) | Class of 2019 | E.E. Smith HS | Fayetteville, NC

Jonathan Kurtas | Class of 2021 | Southlake Christian Academy | Huntersville, NC
Big guy with good touch around the basket. Jonathan showed off a nice mid-range shot and has the potential to stretch out to 3 point land. Solid rebounder. With his size and touch, he has high potential.
Ian Martino | Class of 2019 | Lake Norman Charter | Huntersville, NC
Ian can really lock up defensively. He also has above average athleticism and shows a knack to get to the rim and finish. With a solid jumper and unselfish, team-first attitude, Ian will have an impact at the next level.
Owen VanGundy | Class of 2020 | Weddington HS | Weddington, NC
Point guard that showed the ability to score from 3 point land off the dribble and off-ball with high efficiency. Good ball handler that is a willing passer with a knack for scoring in transition. Solid defender.
Rameon Witt Jr. (@iamrameonjr)| Class of 2020 | Valley Academy of Arts & Science | North Hills, CA
A confident shooter with a nice handle. Long and quick for his height. Can finish at rim easily. Very coachable and great attitude was able to take what was being taught and apply it quickly. Worked well with his teammates and was able to play his game.
Jeremiah Wooten | Class of 2021 | Independence HS | Charlotte, NC
Good size and athleticism for an underclassman. Jeremiah showed flashes to score the ball from all 3 levels along with the ability to pass, dribble, and shoot. His long arms and quickness should allow him to develop into a versatile wing both offensively and defensively.
Graham Worland (@_graham25) | Class of 2022 | Hough HS | Huntersville, NC
Graham has very good size at 6’3 for a freshman in high school. He showed good athleticism and strength as well. Graham has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim or shoot it out to 3. The future is bright for Graham!

About the Paul Biancardi Basketball Camp
The Paul Biancardi Basketball Camp is for serious players who want to grow in the game. We want each camper to be the best version of themselves. Players will need to be focused and attentive to details as we teach them aspects of individual and team play.
We will put campers in competitive situations with limited time making it a no-nonsense camp that stresses effort, improvement, and team play.
Players will take part in individual and group/team drills to increase their basketball skills and IQ as well as games where they’ll be able to put their skills to the test and see where they stack up against the competition. Our goal is to prepare players for future competition and challenges.
Coach Biancardi will also give a few talks on youth basketball topics including rankings, AAU, skill development, and recruiting as well as finish camp with a Q&A session for parents and players.
It’s the offseason, so it’s time to take the next step. If you love the game, want to improve your game, and learn the game, then come and join us!
