PSB City Directors all

• Know the game well and love teaching, coaching and mentoring.
• Are willing, at first, to put real time and effort into building PSB outside their full-time job and family, until PSB in their city can support a full-time City Director.
• Work well on a team. They are reliable, organized and clear. They follow instructions exactly, are rarely late or absent, and reply on time.
• Always look to improve themselves and their PSB city.
• Run all on-court and business operations of PSB in their city with confidence and professionalism.
• Always protect the physical and emotional safety of every participant.
• Know they are the face of PSB in their city, and live PSB’s values.
• Truly care about player development.
• Build a positive, professional environment for players, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

1. Hire, manage and keep the best coaches.
2. Give coaches feedback using PSB guidelines.
3. Plan and share practice, workout and game schedules for every team.
4. Register teams for tournaments and leagues.
5. Find gym space and manage gym rental agreements for practices, clinics and workouts.
6. Have schedules in place on time, using PSB guidelines.
7. Communicate with coaches, managers and parents using PSB guidelines.
8. Keep operating costs within the city budget.
9. Lead on-court events when needed.
10. Grow the number of players and teams in your city each year.
11. Run grassroots marketing.
12. Contribute to PSB social media using PSB guidelines.
13. Work with the PSB Support Staff.
14. Handle problems respectfully and clearly as they come up.
