Our Basketball Clinics are multi-day events dedicated to teaching players the fundamentals of basketball in a safe and enjoyable environment. With a staff of experienced coaches and players, these events provide a great opportunity for players to learn from professionals who have had success both on and off the court.

Kansas City Leadership
Alex Mathis, Director
Alex Mathis brings a player’s mindset and a coach’s discipline to PSB Kansas City, overseeing everything from team development to the day-to-day experience families have with the program. A former (semi)-professional basketball player and AAU coach, he’s built his approach around accountability, skill development, and genuine relationships with families.
Alex played four years of varsity basketball at Lutheran High School North in St. Louis, helping lead the Crusaders to back-to-back Class 3 Final Four appearances in 2012 and 2013, finishing third place both years. He went on to play professionally as the starting shooting guard for the Missouri Capitals in the ABA during the 2022-2023 season.
Alex has spent years as an AAU head coach, leading 15U and 14U Select teams and serving as an assistant coach for 13U Select, in addition to working as a player development and skills trainer. His experience in strength and conditioning further rounds out his ability to develop players on and off the court.
