Charleston Basketball Clinics

Deion is a basketball coach, player development advocate, and City Director for Pro Skills Basketball Charleston with experience playing and coaching at multiple levels of the game.

Deion’s playing career began at East Georgia State College, where he competed at the junior college level. He later finished his collegiate playing career at Coker College, now Coker University.

After his playing career, Deion transitioned into coaching and spent four seasons as a Division I Assistant Coach with Charleston Southern University Women’s Basketball, where his primary focus was player development. During his time at Charleston Southern, he worked closely with collegiate athletes on individual skill development, basketball IQ, decision-making, and helping players translate their individual abilities into team success.

Deion currently serves as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Cane Bay High School, where he is focused on building a positive, competitive culture centered around player development, connectivity, and empowering young women through basketball.

Deion is also a former PSB coach, making his return to Pro Skills Basketball especially meaningful. His experience with PSB gave him firsthand insight into the organization’s approach to player development and its commitment to positively impacting athletes and families through basketball.

The mission and values of PSB are important to Deion, and he is excited to bring that same commitment to the Charleston basketball community as City Director. He believes in creating an environment where athletes are challenged to improve, encouraged to compete, and supported as they grow both as basketball players and as people.
