Detroit Leadership

Devonte Black, Director

Devonte Black attended New Day Academy in Cleveland, Ohio where he played basketball for his high school. After graduating in 2017, he then went on to play college basketball on the NAIA level at Ohio Christian University as a point guard.

After graduating college in 2022, Devonte coached for the Cleveland Cavaliers jr. NBA program as a Youth Coach. During this time, he became a Core Lead Coach while also being a Team Attendant which entailed in assisting NBA players.

In December of 2023, Devonte was hired by the Detroit Pistons as a Youth Development and Engagement Coordinator. Devonte now directs youth basketball camps, clinics, and leagues all across the Detroit, MI area.

Devonte currently resides in Midtown Detroit.
