Ed Chung is a highly accomplished basketball coach and former Division 1 college basketball player with a robust background in both playing and coaching at competitive levels. As a four-year varsity letterman, he excelled on the court before moving into coaching, where he has accumulated over eight years of sideline experience and nine years of skill training with athletes ranging from youth to young adults.
Ed has held head coaching positions for both men’s and women’s teams at Lone Star College System starting in 2018. In these roles, he has been responsible for recruiting, developing training programs, managing team operations, and preparing scouting reports, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. He is currently an assistant Boys varsity basketball coach at St. John’s High School.
Ed’s coaching philosophy centers on motivation, relationship-building, and athlete development, supported by his ongoing pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Texas Southern University. His comprehensive experience and commitment to fostering talent make him a respected figure in the basketball community.
