Pro Skills Basketball ChinaPro Skills Basketball is thrilled to announce that we’ll be officially opening PSB China!

This has been a goal of ours since last summer after PSB director’s Brendan Winters and Ross Schraeder ran 3 weeks of Nike Basketball Camps in Shanghai and Hangzhou, China, and there have already been a couple of events that have taken place including the promotional clinic in the video below.

Last summer, Ross and Brendan were so impressed by the Chinese culture on and off the court as well as the huge need for more quality youth basketball coaching that they decided to try to open up Pro Skills there full-time just like here in the US. Check out highlights from there China trip last summer below!

This summer, PSB will run 9 weeks of summer camp in 5 different cities including Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Hong Kong, and Bengbu. A few of them will once again be Nike Basketball Camps and the rest will be actual Pro Skills Basketball summer camps.

After these camps, PSB will begin full-time with a year-round after-school training program in Chengdu, a city of about 15 million people in central China, as well as a city or two near Shanghai, one of the world’s most populous cities. We plan to offer training programs, clinics, camps, teams, and tournaments in the future!

Of the opportunity, Ross Schraeder says,” We are very excited to dive fully into the Chinese basketball scene this summer and beyond with our camps in various cities.  The love for the game of basketball in China is at all-time high, and we are proud to begin placing our mark in the game by providing the same high-level programming and coaching as we do in the US.  We feel that our passion for improving young players combined with the fervor of the Chinese basketball fans will produce quality results that can help increase the level of the game in China as well as produce an even greater love of the game in the Chinese kids and adults.  We can’t wait to get things going with PSB China!”

Check out our PSB China homepage for more information. We’ll continue to update it with news and upcoming events as it happens!
