Each week in the “Pick & Pop” series of the PSB podcast, PSB co-founders, Logan Kosmalski and Brendan Winters, discuss and debate a relevant topic in their world of youth basketball.
While the first episode was about sacrificing for college basketball recruiting and the second was about dealing with basketball playing time frustration, this 3rd episode is about DIII college basketball.
In this episode, Logan and Brendan talk about what exactly DIII college basketball is, the differences between DI, DII, and DIII college basketball, what the benefits and drawbacks are of playing DIII hoops, and more.
Throughout the past few years, PSB has been getting more and more involved with the DIII college basketball scene as PSB players have gone on to play at DIII schools.
Also, Logan’s brother, Landry Kosmalski, is a DIII head coach at Swarthmore College, one of the premier academic universities in the US and also a top-25 DIII basketball program.
Moreover, PSB has also begun to run Academic Showcase Basketball Camps for academically-driven players, including in Charlotte and more recently in NYC. You can read more about our Academic Showcases here.
Because of all of this experience, Logan and Brendan have built up a wealth of knowledge on the under-the-radar scene of the DIII college basketball, so give the podcast below a listen or find it on iTunes here!
